New Brunswick — Admission to the Bar 2026
In New Brunswick, bar admission ceremonies occur in June and at other times during the year as required.

To attend the June ceremony, articling must start by June 1 of that year.

All ceremonies take place in Fredericton at the Court of Appeal.

Candidates take the Barristers and Solicitors oath in either French or English.

Candidates attending the Call to the Bar in New Brunswick typically graduate from the following law schools:

Internationally trained lawyers may also qualify through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA).

2026 Ceremony Dates & Locations
The New Brunswick Call to the Bar ceremony is typically held in Fredericton.
