General
- What method of payment do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Direct Payment, Cheque or Cash.
- Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit of 20% to 50% is required upon placement of the order and the
remainder will be charged upon shipping. However, this does not apply if a firm is being invoiced directly.
- What is the shipping charge?
Imperial Robes ships worldwide. The shipping charge depends on the destination.
- How much time is required in order to custom tailor the garments?
The turn around time varies from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the item and time of year.
- Are your garments made to measure or are they sold off the rack?
Our robemakers and legal tailors make garments made according to you personal measurements.
Legal
- What garments are required for the Call to the Bar?
A barrister's gown, a waistcoat, a wing tip collared courtshirt and
a set of legal tabs are required for the Call to the Bar. The pants and skirt should be black,
grey or courtstripe.
- Is it mandatory to purchase courtpants or skirts?
You may choose to wear your own black or grey courtpants or skirts. If you wish
to have either or both of these custom made for you we have an extensive
selection of quality fabrics.
- Does Imperial Robes rent court attire and/or academic regalia?
We rent both gowns and waistcoats for your appearance in court or the Call
to the Bar. We do not, however, rent academic regalia.
- My firm will pay for my robes. Will you invoice them directly?
Yes. Upon their approval either by telephone or in writing, we will invoice
the firm directly. Alternatively, you may wish to pay us and use your receipts
in order to be reimbursed.
Academic
- Are you familiar with the colours and styles of the academic regalia required
for me to graduate?
We have references that provide us the necessary requirements of each university
across North America.
